Advertising and consumers

How often do you see commercials?

Nowadays we can find ads almost everywhere. If we are walking we can see ads on trains or buses or billboards. If we are on the way home we can hear radio ads. But what are these ads of? Most of them want to sell us things we don’t really need. I think that we all need to browse and window-shop before we take a decision of what to buy. Another good option is to shop around so we can buy what we need in a better price. And sometimes people bargain, in that way they can buy things in a lower price. They just make a good deal.

Many times people buy products because they favorite actor or soccer player is endorsing them, or maybe a good friend is promoting them. However I prefer people to prove how good their product is.

The commercials I hate are the ones that mentioned that they give you a free game but whenever they send you a message, you have to pay for it.

I dislike not being told the truth about the goods companies sell. I prefer being entertained by commercials that show us daily things and that give us the opportunity to reflect. Almost all of the Coca-Cola’s commercials choke me up. I find them too interesting and touching. The one about the “pingüinos, marinela” cracks me up every time I see it.
